Michigan's Public Land

Protect Michigan's Public Lands photo: hiking in forest

Michigan is home to some of the most beautiful natural places in America. Our public lands generate significant tourism dollars, provide places to recreate with our families and friends, critical natural resources and jobs for Michigan citizens. However, bills meant to weaken decades of protections and limit the amount of land the state protects have been introduced. We must halt these bills before passed into law. In addition, we must create a long-term vision for our public lands that builds upon our tradition of sound management and accounts for the value of clean water, clean air, biodiversity, and non-motorized vehicle recreation to the long-term economic health and ecological integrity of our state.
