Michigan LCV Endorses Mark Schauer for Governor

The Michigan League of Conservation Voters (LCV) announced its endorsement of Mark Schauer for Governor today, citing Schauer’s long record as an advocate for Michigan’s land, air and water, and his commitment to move Michigan forward by protecting our state’s natural resources.

Michigan LCV Announces Charlotte Jameson as Policy Manager

ANN ARBOR --- Michigan League of Conservation Voters is pleased to announce Charlotte Jameson’s transition from Communications Manager to Policy Manager. Jameson will now be at the forefront of Michigan LCV’s legislative efforts, accountability and policy education programs. As Policy Manager, Jameson will also oversee the Great Michigan (http://www.greatmichigan.org) program and environmental priority setting process. In addition, she will direct Michigan LCV’s accountability and advocacy work on behalf of Michigan’s land, air, and water.

Conservation Candidates Take Home Critical Wins, Defeat Koch Brothers in Key Primary Races

The Michigan League of Conservation Voters marked significant wins and a resounding defeat of the Koch Brothers after yesterday’s primary elections. Michigan LCV’s endorsed candidate Wayne Schmidt defeated Tea Party and Koch Brothers fueled challenger Greg MacMaster in the Republican primary for the 37th Senate seat. Endorsed candidate Kristy Pagan took home a win in the three-way Democratic primary for the 21st House seat, and in a hard fought race, Frank Foster came up short to Tea Party challenger Lee Chatfield in the Republican primary race for the 107th House seat.
