Update: Michigan Energy Coalition Plans Meetings with US Senators

The Clean Energy Works (CEW) partners are stepping up their efforts in Michigan to pressure U.S. Senators Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow to make renewable energy technology and job creation a legislative priority.

The Senators have stated that they would like to hear from the wider community on the issue of comprehensive energy and climate policy (better known as “cap and trade”).  CEW activists are setting up in-district meetings with representatives of Senators Levin and Stabenow across the state now through the Memorial Day recess. Leaders in the business, labor, faith, agricultural, local government, and national security communities, among others, are encouraged to participate.
