Michigan LCV Endorses Rebekah Warren for State Senate

Rebekah Warren

The Michigan League of Conservation Voters is proud to endorse State Representative Rebekah Warren in her campaign for State Senate in the 18th District. Warren has a 100% lifetime average on Michigan LCV’s annual Scorecard and is a consistent leader on environmental issues through her position as Chair of the Great Lakes and Environment Committee.

Warren’s perfect record on conservation issues, and knowledge and expertise on the policies impacting the Great Lakes, makes her an invaluable member of the State Legislature; a role Michigan LCV is eager to see her continue in the State Senate.

Michigan LCV is a non-partisan, non-profit organization which seeks to turn environmental goals into community priorities by electing, educating, and holding officials accountable for their votes and actions.

“Warren is more than an advocate for Michigan’s natural resources, she is a leader,” said Lisa Wozniak, Executive Director for Michigan LCV. “Her 100% voting record with LCV, role as a champion on the Great Lakes Compact, and the driving force on wetlands protection makes her the kind of legislator that we are committed to, and proud, to support.”

“As Chair of the House Great Lakes and Environment Committee, I have been proud to partner with the Michigan League of Conservation Voters to preserve our precious lakes and wetlands, secure stable parks funding, and protect our children from dangerous toxins,” said Warren. “Throughout that time they have proven to be steadfast advocates and ever-vigilant watchdogs on behalf of our vast natural resources, wholeheartedly dedicated to holding legislators accountable for their actions in Lansing. I am honored to receive their endorsement in my bid for Senate.”

With the primary election quickly approaching on August 3rd, Michigan LCV is continually evaluating further races for endorsement and supporting those candidates that have already received the organization’s support.
