Eliminate Biodiversity Management

House Committee on Natural Resources

SB 78 prohibits the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) from managing an area of land specifically to promote biological diversity and removes “biological diversity” from the list of state forest management goals. Because endangered species are tied in with biodiversity, this bill would essentially end the Michigan Endangered Species Act.
